30 minutes, 10 content ideas: a research routine that needs no AI tool

Content Research | No Tool Needed

Most creators do not have an idea problem. They have a listening problem. The best content ideas are already written down, in other people's questions. Here is a 30-minute routine to find ten of them, with no paid tool at all.

Per the vendor, GrokAI Studio is a web dashboard that lets you use Grok models for copy, research, images, video and voice from one login, and includes real-time X data, for a one-time $17 with a 30-day refund. It is an independent product, not made by xAI, and we have not tested it hands-on. A tool can speed up this routine. It cannot replace the part where you read what real people ask.

Minutes 1 to 5: search suggestions

Type your topic into a search box followed by 'how', 'why', 'can I' and 'vs', and write down every suggestion that appears. These are questions real people typed.

Minutes 6 to 10: comments on top content

Open the three most popular videos or posts in your niche. Read the comments. Look for 'but what about', 'I still don't get' and 'can you do one on'. Each is a content idea with an audience attached.

Minutes 11 to 15: question sites and forums

Search your topic on a Q&A site or forum and note the exact words people use to describe the problem. Their phrasing is better than yours for titles.

Minutes 16 to 20: your own inbox

Support emails, direct messages, comments on your own posts. If you have none yet, ask five people in your niche what they find confusing. Five answers are plenty.

Minutes 21 to 25: group them

Put all your notes into three piles: beginner questions, mistakes people make, and things people argue about. Ten ideas usually fall out without effort.

Minutes 26 to 30: choose one and write the promise

Pick the idea that appears most often and write one sentence: who it is for and what they will be able to do after. If you cannot write the sentence, pick another idea.

A worked example

Say your niche is meal planning for busy parents. Search suggestions might give 'meal plan for picky eaters', 'meal plan on a budget' and 'meal plan for one'. The comments might reveal 'I never have time on Sundays'. Put them together and you get 'a 20-minute Sunday plan for picky eaters on a budget'. That is a specific, useful idea that came from listening, not from guessing.

Where AI helps

  • Turning your messy notes into clusters.
  • Drafting ten title options for the idea you chose.
  • Outlining a first version for you to edit.

Where AI does not help

  • Reading the comments. A summary hides the exact words people used.
  • Deciding what you care about enough to talk about for a year.

Our GrokAI Studio review lists the price, all nine upgrades, the coupon codes and the claims we could not verify, including the vendor's 'unlimited Grok 4 Heavy for life' promise.
